Mar 26, 2020
We have been following the advice and guidance from the Ministry of Health via Taranaki District Health Board since the news of the Covid-19 outbreak was first announced back in January.
On Monday 23rd March, the New Zealand government announced that NZ would shift to alert level 3 and would then move to alert level 4 within 48 hours to reduce the spread of Covid-19. In accordance with the government's instructions on the nationwide lockdown, we made the decision to close the PIHMS campus and cease all face-to-face classes with immediate effect.
The majority of our students have gone home (where possible). Students that have stayed on campus are under self-isolation restrictions.
Through the use of our online learning platform and awesome lecturers, students have been able to continue their studies remotely and will continue to do so whilst we remain at alert level 4.
All the PIHMS staff are working from home and are available should you require assistance or have any questions.
April 2020 Intake
There have been some changes put in place for our April intake. All new students who have enrolled for April 2020 would have received an email earlier this week communicating the options available to you. One of our Student Recruitment Team members will be calling you to help with you with those options. If you did not receive the email then please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org

PIHMS apologizes for any inconvenience this has caused. We want you to know the safety of our students, staff and whanau is our top priority, and we will continue to follow the Ministry of Health’s recommendations relating to Covid-19 risk.
We would like to thank you for your continued trust and understanding as we work through this together.
Stay Home. Stay Safe.
